Anzac Day (April 25) falls on a Saturday this year but it will still be a public holiday, with most businesses closed across the South Burnett.
Anzac Day commemorations are being held in almost every town and village across the region (see below).
As well, the South Burnett Race Club will be holding their very popular Anzac Day Races at the Wondai racetrack.
And, the 55 Million Years Ago Museum and Art Gallery in Murgon will be announcing the winner of their annual Anzac Day Art prize.
There’s also lots of non-military themed events happening this weekend, too, including the Maidenwell Bulls & Broncs (a fundraiser for the Tanduringie State School P&C) and the Joel Evans Memorial Weekend at the South Burnett MX Club track in Kingaroy.
NB. Monday (April 27) is NOT a public holiday in Queensland.
