Students at Tanduringie, Cooyar, Benarkin and Linville State schools will benefit from the resources of a new STEM Library, thanks to Stanwell Corporation.

The Small Schools Cluster Group applied for funding for the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) resource.

Benarkin State School prepared the grant application on behalf of the group.

The Cluster Group has received $4400 to begin the venture, and P&Cs will provide ongoing funding support.

“This is a very exciting addition to our small schools’ curriculum resources, and will benefit our participation in the 2018 Technology Challenge,” Tanduringie Acting Principal Paul Thorpe said.

“Most importantly, the STEM library will extend our students’ knowledge and application of digital and design technologies.

“I would ask our school community to join with me in sincerely thanking Stanwell Corporation for their very generous contribution.”
