Billy-Anne Huxham and Carl Garry Chapman … Police are concerned for Billy-Anne

Police are seeking urgent public assistance following the abduction of an 18-year-old woman from Caboolture this morning.

Just after 6:00am Billy-Anne Huxham was reportedly abducted at gunpoint from a residence on Gilbert Street.

Family and witnesses contacted police about 6:00am.

About 11:30am police sighted a vehicle, in which Billy-Anne was believed to be a passenger, on the Bruce Highway at Kallangur.

Officers attempted to intercept the vehicle but were unsuccessful.

The vehicle is a silver 2014 Mitsubishi Outlander with Queensland registration 789-VNI.

Detectives believe the vehicle is being driven by 32-year-old Carl Garry Chapman, who was previously in a relationship with Billy-Anne.

Detective Acting Inspector Steve Windsor from Moreton District Crime Group said police have serious concerns for Billy-Anne’s welfare.

Anyone who may see the vehicle is urged not to approach it but to contact Triple Zero immediately.

Det Acting Insp Windsor said police would be working continuously throughout the night in a bid to locate the woman.

UPDATE April 2: Police investigating the abduction of Billy-Anne Huxham in Caboolture on Tuesday have located the vehicle they had been searching for.

The silver 2014 Mitsubishi Outlander was located by police on Kift Street in Kallangur shortly after 11.15am on Thursday morning.

Since her disappearance, police have received information that Billy-Anne has made contact with a family member.

Police are continuing to make follow-up inquiries regarding her whereabouts and are still appealing for anyone with information which could assist with the matter to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800-333-000.

Investigations are continuing.
