South Burnett CTC - Working For Our Community
Christmas At The Little Cathedral In The Bush - Nanango
Well-known soprano Calista Walters will coming back home to Nanango for a special performance of carols this evening at Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church, 35-37 Gipps Street Nanango. Calista, who went to school in Nanango, will be accompanied by the Toowoomba Philharmonic Chamberlin Ensemble. The performance will start at 5:00pm and will be followed by a light supper. Cost is $15 for adults and $10 for students (children under 5 free). Tickets can be booked online but there will also be a limited number available at the door. Funds raised will go towards the church's current building project.
Murgon CBD Markets
The monthly Murgon Markets will be held in Lamb Street in the heart of Murgon from 6:00am until about 12:00 noon today. The markets run on the second Sunday of each month and offer locally made crafts, foods and produce - always an interesting Sunday morning out. New stallholders are always welcome too! More details? Santa Paws - Kingaroy
Kingaroy RSPCA, at 43 Warren Truss Drive, Kingaroy, is holding a special photographic fundraiser today to support the shelter. It's the paw-fect opportunity to get a unique family Christmas photo with your pup. Book a spot by contacting the RSPCA by email. Cost is $25 (eftpos available on the day) with 100 per cent of funds going to the RSPCA.
Community Pickleball - Woolooga
Woolooga Community Hall is hosting community pickleball every Sunday from 4:00pm to 6:00pm at the hall at 8 Thomas Street, Woolooga. Everyone is welcome to come along, including beginners. All equipment is provided at the court, so just bring water!
Kumbia Museum
The Kumbia and District Historical Society's museum, located in the Federation Heritage Centre behind Kumbia Hall in Bell Street, will be open from 1:30pm to 3:30pm this afternoon. Cooyar Hotel Markets
The new Cooyar Hotel Markets will be running in the grounds of the Cooyar Hotel on the New England Highway, Cooyar from 10:00am to around 2:00pm today. The markets feature Neil's fresh fruit and vegetables, market stalls, seafoods, coffee and hot foods, plus free face painting for children from 11:00am to 2:00pmn. South Burnett Saints AFC club will be holding its Annual General Meeting from noon today at Lyle Vidler Oval clubhouse, Youngman Street, Kingaroy. All positions will be declared vacant.
Sunday Sesh With MISfITZ Trio - Nanango
The MISfITZ Trio (ie. Ron and Clare Fitz-Herbert and Jordan Holden) will be playing in the courtyard at the Commercial Hotel in Drayton Street, Nanango from 11:30am to around 2:30pm today. Free Sunday Lunch - Kingaroy
A free community lunch is available every Sunday from 12:30pm to 1:30pm at The Old Railway Station building, O'Neill Square, in Kingaroy. The Community Serving Community Meals Project is co-ordinated by the South Burnett Support Alliance and relies on volunteers from the local community.
