Rugby League Grand Final - Blackbutt

This is it! Grand Final day!! The Grand Finals of the South Burnett Rugby League's 2026 A Grade and Under 14 competitions will be played today at Ian "Bunny" Pearce Oval in Railway Street, Blackbutt. The Under 14 clash, between the Nanango Stags and Murgon Mustangs will kick off at 12:30pm. The A Grade Grand Final, between the Kingaroy Red Ants and the Murgon Mustangs, will start at 2:00pm.

Nanango Country Markets

The Nanango Show Society will be holding their regular monthly Country Markets at the Nanango Showgrounds in Cairns Street from 6:00am to 11:30am today. As usual, the markets will feature a wide variety of craft stalls, new and used goods, plants, poultry and pets. The Nanango Markets are the largest rural market in south east Queensland and attract up to 420 stallholders. But new stallholders are always very welcome too! More info? Multicultural Festival - Kingaroy

South Burnett Regional Council is hosting a Multicultural Celebration from 3:00pm to 7:00pm this evening in the Kingaroy Town Hall Forecourt, Glendon Street, Kingaroy. Come along in your traditional dress (there'll be prizes)! There'll also be food stalls, entertainment and activities. Entry is free. (The event has been funded by the Queensland Government.)

Ringsfield House Open Day - Nanango

Historic Ringsfield House, 41-45 Alfred Street, Nanango, is hosting an Open Day today! Local artists will be featured in the art gallery from 9:00am to noon, plus tea and scones will be available on the verandah for $12.00 per person from 9:00am to 11:00am. (As a bonus, visitors can also pop on down to the Energy Museum in Henry Street where the historic Nanango Butter Factory diesel motor will be fired up this morning or drop in to inspect the former Masonic Lodge in Gipps Street which will also be open for inspection!)

NananGO PLAYfest

The Nanango Theatre Company will be presenting the Day 2 of their three-day 2026 Heritage NananGO PLAYfest one-act play competition at the Nanango Cultural Centre in George Street, Nanango from 9:00am this morning. The event is fully accessible, fully catered (with a bar) and is just $15 per session (three plays) or $50 for the whole weekend (14 plays). Tickets can be booked online or purchased at the door. Fundraising Dinner - Tableland Hall

The Tableland Hall Committee will be holding its annual fundraising dinner from 6:00pm tonight at the hall at 459 Crownthorpe Road, Tablelands.
