Anzac Day
Today is Anzac Day, the day when the nation pauses to remember the sacrifices of thousands of Australians who have fought in conflicts all over the world. Most South Burnett businesses will either be closed completely today or operating on restricted hours (ie. from noon onwards) as a mark of respect.
Anzac Day commemoration services will be held throughout the region from 4:28am onwards: the same time the original ANZACs began their assault on the beaches of Gallipoli 110 years ago.
