Maidenwell Music Mix
- Day 3 of the inaugural Maidenwell Music Mix festival will run from 7:00am to noon in a performance area located behind the Maidenwell Hotel. Today's action kicks off at 7:00am with a camp oven breakfast, followed by bush poetry and live music. Tickets for today are $15, or a weekend pass is $50 and can be booked online or purchased at the door. Under 16s are free.
Kingaroy & District Vintage Machinery Club Rally
- The second day of the two-day Kingaroy & District Vintage Machinery Club Rally will be held at the club's grounds along Geoff Raph Drive at Kingaroy Airport between 8:00am and 5:00pm today. The rally attracts vintage machinery enthusiasts from all over South East Queensland and there'll be a huge range of antique machinery on display including cars, tractors, trucks, crawlers and stationary engines. Other highlights include a Grand Parade, slow tractor races, tractor pulling, corn threshing and much, much more! If you're hungry, there'll food and drink stalls operating all day too. This year's event features John Deere and Ford motor vehicles and there will be a special display of these in the grounds. Admission today is $10, but under 16s can get in for free. NB. No EFTPOS available.
History Of The Dolls & Teddies - Kumbia
- There'll be a special focus on Teddy Bears and Dolls in the Kumbia Memorial Hall from 1:00pm to 4:00pm today - and every day until Saturday, September 28. Afternoon tea will be available for sale. $5 entry at the door. BYO dolly or teddy to join in!
Hivesville Country Markets
- The monthly Hivesville Country Markets will be held at Memorial Park (opposite the Hivesville Hotel in Main Street) from 7:00am to around noon this morning. These family-friendly markets are held on the 4th Sunday of every month and feature a variety of stalls including fresh local farm produce, plants, crafts and lots of food. New stallholders are very welcome, too!
Hivesville Devonshire Teas
- Hivesville's QCWA are celebrating their 101st birthday this year, and the branch will be opening the doors at their rooms in Main Street from 7:00am to noon this morning to offer visitors Devonshire Teas and boutique-style coffee plus plants, crafts and general bric-a-brac items - the perfect complement to the Hivesville Markets just across the road. Everyone is welcome to come and enjoy a delicious morning tea and/or browse for a bargain.
Music Club Social - Blackbutt
- The Taromeo Country Music Club will be hosting a fun, social day at the Blackbutt Golf Club from 10:00am to 2:00pm today. There'll be old rock, country, blues, folk and music from the 60s and 70s. Timbertowns Woodworkers - Blackbutt
- The Timbertowns Woodworkers group will be holding their regular Sunday morning meeting at the Blackbutt Showgrounds in Bowman Road, Blackbutt from 8:30am until around 12:00 noon today. Sunday Afternoon Poker - Kingaroy

Proston Golden Spurs Spring Campdraft
- Day 2 of the two-day Proston Golden Spurs Spring Draft will kick off at the Proston Showgrounds on the Proston-Boondooma Road, west of the CBD, at 7:30am this morning. Today's action includes the Novice Final, Restricted Open Heats and Final, and the Maiden 4 Maiden Final. Spectators are welcome to come along and watch all the action for free. Kumbia Museum
- The Kumbia and District Historical Society's museum, located in the Federation Heritage Centre behind Kumbia Hall in Bell Street, will be open from 1:30pm to 3:30pm this afternoon.
