Maidenwell Music Mix
- Day 2 of the inaugural Maidenwell Music Mix festival will run until late tonight in a performance area located behind the Maidenwell Hotel. The headline performer for the weekend is Golden Guitar-winning country star Pixie Jenkins, who will joined on stage by a string of local acts. Today's action kicks off at 11:00am and will run through 11:00pm. Tickets for today are $30, or a weekend pass is $50 and can be booked online or purchased at the door. Under 16s are free.
Kingaroy & District Vintage Machinery Club Rally
- The first day of the two-day Kingaroy & District Vintage Machinery Club Rally will be held at the club's grounds along Geoff Raph Drive at Kingaroy Airport between 8:00am and 5:00pm today. The rally attracts vintage machinery enthusiasts from all over South East Queensland and there'll be a huge range of antique machinery on display including cars, tractors, trucks, crawlers and stationary engines. Other highlights include a Grand Parade, slow tractor races, tractor pulling, corn threshing and much, much more! If you're hungry, there'll food and drink stalls operating all day too. This year's event features John Deere and Ford motor vehicles and there will be a special display of these in the grounds. Admission today is $10, but under 16s can get in for free. NB. No EFTPOS available.
Kingaroy Friendship Markets
- The third Saturday of the month Friendship Markets will be held at Kingaroy Showgrounds in Youngman Street, Kingaroy from 7:00am to around 12:00pm today. The markets are run by the Kingaroy Show Society and feature a range of arts, crafts, food stalls, fruit and garden stalls, plus unusual bric-a-brac. New stallholders are always very welcome.
Proston Men's Shed

Proston Community Markets
- The monthly Proston Community Markets - organised by the Proston Show Society and held on the 3rd Saturday of each month - will be running outside the QCWA Rooms at Railway Park in Rodney Street, Proston from 8:00am to around noon this morning. Stalls feature everything from craftwork to baked goods and bric-a-brac are are always fun to browse. There'll also be a great BBQ breakfast and Devonshire morning teas available, as well as a large fruit and veggie tray raffle. Murgon Men's Shed
- The Murgon Men's Shed will be holding a meeting at their shed in Macalister Street, Murgon (the shed next to the former Murgon Railway Station) today. The Men's Shed meets every Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday to work on projects and new members are always welcome.
Moore Hall Markets
- The monthly Moore Markets will be held outside the Moore Soldiers Memorial Hall off the D'Aguilar Highway in Moore from 7:00am to around 12:00 noon today. The markets are held on the 3rd Saturday of every month and feature hand painted china; hand made jewellery; hand crafted dolls; quilts; biscuit tin banjos; jade; wooden toys; delightful handmade bags; plants; bric-a-brac; antiques and collectables; tea cosies; baby clothes; tea towels; candles; soaps; cakes; jams and pickles, and more. There's also great brekkies available inside the Hall, and everyone is welcome!
Nanango Men's Shed
- The Nanango Men's Shed at the corner of Mt Stanley Road and Heathermore Lane, Nanango will be open from 8:30am to around 12:30pm today for its regular Saturday get-together. Proston Golden Spurs Spring Campdraft
- Day 1 of the two-day Proston Golden Spurs Spring Draft will kick off at the Proston Showgrounds on the Proston-Boondooma Road, west of the CBD, at 7:30am this morning. Today's action will feature Novice, Junior and Juvenile contests as well as the ACA South-East Zone Top 7 Shootout. Awards and ribbons for the Shootout will be presented tonight. Nutrien Golf Day - Kumbia
- The Nutrien Kingaroy Livestock Golf Day will be held today at the Kumbia Golf Course, with all proceeds going to the Kumbia club. Tee-off for the two-person ambrose is at 9:00am.
