Jungle Juice - Wondai
- SOLD OUT! The South Burnett Musical Comedy Society will be presenting the first performance of their new theatre-restaurant show "Jungle Juice" at the Wondai RSL in Mackenzie Street, Wondai at 7:00pm tonight. Jungle Juice tells the story of a plane carrying two rock stars and a reporter that crashes on an island which has a severe man shortage. The result is a zany tropical cocktail of melodrama and music, somewhere between Brigadoon and The Gods Must be Crazy. Tickets to the show - which include a two course dinner - are $40 and need to be booked online. Note: Three further performances will be held at Tara's Hall in Nanango (tomorrow night) and the Kingaroy Senior Citizens Centre (next Friday and Saturday night).

The section of Gore Street between Lamb Street and Stephens Street West will be closed to traffic to allow cars to deposit couples at the Town Hall, but spectators can view arrivals from both sides of Gore Street.

- The Maidenwell Hotel will be holding its the first day of its two-day inaugural Big Boar Comp from 12:00 noon today. The event - for boar hunters (and those who wish they could be) - will be offering prizes for the Biggest Boar, Biggest Sow, Mystery Weight, Best Hooks and Biggest One Hunt Load, plus novelty classes for dogs and handlers. South Burnett Pantry - Kingaroy
- The South Burnett Pantry will be open from 8:30am to 12:30pm today at 22 Stolzenberg Road in Kingaroy. The Pantry is a not-for-profit registered charity run by a Board of Management and staffed by volunteers, and it helps low income families, couples and singles stretch their shopping dollar further. The Pantry offers $40 pantry hampers that contain most of the food and personal cleaning items that most people need to get through part of the week (though you'll need to shop elsewhere for extras or special items).
