South Burnett CTC - Working For Our Community
Rock & Roll Dance Lessons - Nanango
Rock & Roll Dance Lessons will be held at the Heritage Pavilion inside Nanango Showgrounds in Cairns Street at 1:00pm this afternoon. The cost for a 2-hour lesson is $10 and beginners are very welcome. Classes are held fortnightly. More details? Phone Sue on 0418-759-330.
Timbertown Woodworkers Group Meeting
The Timbertown Woodworkers group will be holding their regular Sunday morning meeting at the Blackbutt Showgrounds in Bowman Road, Blackbutt from 8:30am until around 12:00 noon today. Kilkivan Sunday Markets
The weekly Kilkivan Markets will be held in Lester Millar Park in Kilkivan from 7:00am until around 12:00 noon this morning. Sunday Afternoon Music - Wondai
The Wondai Hotel & Cellars in Haly Street, Wondai will be holding a relaxed Sunday afternoon of live music from 11:30am onwards today. Lunch and dinner will be available in the Cellar's restaurant and pizzas will be availble on the rear deck too. More details from the Cellars on (07) 4168-5274.
15th Annual Maidenwell Folk Gathering
The third (and final) day of the 15th annual Maidenwell Folk Gathering will get underway around 10:00am this morning at the Maidenwell Hotel and continue right through until this afternoon. The Folk Gathering is a pure folk music event (ie fully acoustic - no electrics are allowed) and has built up a loyal following over the years. A highlight of today's Festival activities will be an open-air jam session at Coomba Falls. The Festival itself is completely free to attend and there's also free camping available around the hotel. Lots of great food will be available too but no BYO is allowed - you'll need to get your supplies from the Maidenwell Hotel if you want to party hard really hard. More details? Lions Garden & Country Lifestyle Expo
The second (and final) day of the weekend-long Blackbutt-Benarkin Lions Garden and Country Lifestyle Expo will be held at the Blackbutt Sports Centre in Janice Court from 6:00am this morning until 2:00pm this afternoon. As was the case last year, the Expo will feature a range of garden and home-related displays from different exhibitors focussing on things as diverse as storage tanks, pumps, the latest in building materials and design, pottery, crafts, garden furniture and accessories, plants, livestock, patchwork and quilt-making, wood-working and wool-spinning. There'll also be children's activities and live entertainment too. Food, drink and billy tea and damper will also be available in the grounds, and admission is completely free. There's also plenty of parking available nearby for a gold coin donation. Everyone is welcome along!
Blackbutt Lions Country Markets
The Blackbutt Lions Country Markets - run on the third Sunday of every month - will be held next to the Blackbutt Community Hall in Coulson Street, Blackbutt from 7:00am until around mid-day today. The markets offer a wide range of locally produced arts, crafts and and freshly harvested foodstuffs and everyone is welcome along!
