RUOK Day Community Breakfasts - Kingaroy, Nanango, Murgon

Today is RUOK Day - a day to raise awareness about suicide prevention. Three free community breakfasts will be held. In Kingaroy, brekkie will be held in the Glendon Street Town Hall forecourt between 8:00am and 10:00am. In Nanango, a breakfast will be held in the car park of the SupaIGA Supermarket in Fitzroy Street, also from 8:00am to 10:00am. The Gumnut Place Open Day - Murgon

South Burnett CTC will be marking Disability Action Week with an Open Day at The Gumnut Place in Gore Street, Murgon, from 10:00am to 1:00pm today. There'll be demonstrations of the various products being made at Gumnut, as well as a guest speaker and art therapist in action. CROW-FM will be doing a live broadcast from the area.

Tai Chi Class - Kumbia

Kumbia's weekly Tai Chi class will be held in the lunch room at the Kumbia Sports Ground from 8:30am to 9:30am this morning. The class is for beginners and new members are always welcome.

Old Time Dancing Classes - Murgon

Old Time Dancing will be held at the South Burnett PCYC in Macalister Street, Murgon at 1:00pm to 3:00pm this afternoon. The class caters to all levels from beginners to advanced, all in a fun and social atmosphere lead by a qualified dance instructor. St Joseph's Bingo - Murgon

St Joseph's Parish Hall in Angel Avenue, Murgon will be hosting bingo games from 7:30pm this evening. There'll be $1000 in prizes on offer as well as a canteen and lucky bingo tickets. Proceeds will go to aid St Joseph's school and community works.

Pottery Class - Nanango

Creative Connections at 8 George Street, Nanango will be running their regular Thursday pottery class from 9:30am to noon this morning. Community Kitchen members learn how to cook a variety of budget conscious home-cooked meals, then sit down together for a communal lunch afterwards to enjoy the results for the cost of a gold coin donation. Kumbia Community Morning Tea

Kumbia's monthly Community Morning Tea will be held at 10:00am this morning at the Kumbia QCWA rooms in Bell Street. Everyone is welcome along to this free get-together for residents who live in and around the Kumbia area, and you can enjoy some laughs and a great morning tea at no charge. Today's morning tea will have Margot Ludke as a special guest speaker. Margot has worked at Orana since 1998 and has been a Home Care Co-ordinator since 2014. Her current role helps clients to remain independent at home, so bring along your questions about how to stay at home longer, what support is available etc.

Alcoholics Anonymous - Kingaroy

Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other to help solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for A.A. membership. A.A. isn't allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organisation or institution.
