SBRC Roadshow - Durong and Proston

The South Burnett Regional Council will be holding the seventh and eighth of nine Roadshow meetings at Durong Hall on the Chinchilla Road, Durong at noon (for a 12:30pm start) this afternoon; and again at the Proston Community Hall in Rodney Street, Proston at 5:30pm (for a 6:00pm start) this evening. The Roadshow will update residents on what the Council has been doing since it was elected 18 months ago; current projects it's working on; and its new Economic Development Strategy, which aims to create 3000 new jobs in the region by 2020. AgForce SEQ will also update guests on their own projects at the Durong meeting, while BIEDO will update Proston residents at theirs. A BBQ lunch/dinner to help fundraise for a local community group will be available for purchase at both meetings, and everyone is welcome.

Brisbane Bells - Kingaroy

Bell-ringers, The Brisbane Bells, will be bringing their unique brand of music to the South Burnett today. They will be holding a workshop for potential bell-ringers from 3:00pm at the Mary Knoll Centre at St Mary's Catholic College in Kent Street, Kingaroy, followed by a concert from 5:00pm. The workshop is $15 per person, and tickets to the concert are $20 for adults and $10 for school-aged children. More information is available on their website

Tuesday Night Dance Class - Kumbia

Dance classes will be held at the Kumbia Hall in Bell Street, Kumbia from 7:30pm tonight. Danny's Diner - Kingaroy

Danny's Diner - a free community dinner - will be held at the Uniting Church Hall at the corner of Alford and Youngman streets in Kingaroy from 5:30pm to 7:00pm tonight. The dinner is an initiative of the Kingaroy District Ministry Association for the benefit of anyone who's hungry or otherwise doing it tough.
