South Burnett CTC - Working For Our Community
Taromeo Country Music Club Social - Blackbutt
The Taromeo Country Music Club will be holding their fifth bi-monthly Sunday social for 2017 at the Blackbutt Golf Club in Langton Road, Blackbutt from 10:00am to around 4:00pm today. Entertainment will be provided by the visiting and guest artists. There'll also be multi-draw raffles, a lucky door prize, a licensed bar, plenty of food and refreshments, a licensed bar and - of course! - lots of great country music and dancing. Admission is still only $5 with bottomless tea or coffee and and free afternoon tea as well. Lunch will also be available for a small charge. Everyone is welcome!
Blackbutt Country Markets
The Blackbutt Lions Country Markets - run on the third Sunday of every month - will be held next to the Blackbutt Community Hall in Coulson Street, Blackbutt from 7:00am until around mid-day today. Autism Bowls Challenge - Kingaroy
The Kingaroy Rotary Club, Kingaroy Bowls Club and the South Burnett Autism Group will be holding a bowls challenge at the Kingaroy Bowls Club in Youngman Street today to raise funds for autism research. Teams of four players can start the day with lunch at noon (your choice of beef, satay, honey and soy or a chilli burger) followed by game of bowls, some raffles and games and concluding with some nibbles at the end of the day. The event is limited to 28 teams, the cost is $20 per player, and there's over $1000 in prizes on offer. Everyone is welcome!
Kilkivan Railway Markets
The weekly Kilkivan Railway Markets will be held in Lester Millar Park in Kilkivan from 7:00am until around 12:00 noon this morning. Kingaroy & District Vintage Machinery Club Rally
The first day of the annual two day Kingaroy & District Vintage Machinery Club Rally will be held at Geoff Raph Drive at Kingaroy Airport between 9:00am and 4:00pm today. The rally attracts vintage machinery enthusiasts from all over South East Queensland and there'll be a huge range of antique machinery on display including cars, tractors, trucks, crawlers and stationary engines. Other highlights include a Grand Parade, slow tractor races, sled pulling, ploughing, ring events and much, much more! If you're hungry, there'll also be a barbecue, food and drink stalls operating all day too. Exhibitors from other clubs are also very welcome, but you'll need to arrange your own public liability insurance (which will be sighted on arrival). Special features of this year's rally include 100 Years Of Fordson and the club's 20th anniversary. Admission is $10, but under-12s can get in for free.
Kumbia Museum
The Kumbia and District Historical Society's museum, located in the Federation Heritage Centre behind Kumbia Hall in Bell Street, will be open from 1:30pm to 3:30pm this afternoon. Nanango Home Produce Share
The monthly Nanango Home Produce Share will be held in the grounds of Ringsfield House at 45 Alfred Street, Nanango from 9:00am to about 10:30am this morning. The share is for people who have excess home produce they would like to swap or gift to others (non-food items can also be swapped) and it has been organised by the South Burnett Permaculture group. Sunday Bingo - Wondai

2017 Queensland Police CTC Trap Nationals
The Kingaroy Clay Target Club will be hosting the second - and final - day of the 2017 Queensland Police Clay Target Club Trap Nationals shooting competition today. This popular annual event, which is open to all shooters, will have three different shooting events today (a 50 Target Continental, a 25 Target Points Score Championship and a 30 Target Champion Of Champions), with the action getting underway at 8:30am this morning.
