Drivers in the Walter Road / Knight Street area in Kingaroy should take extra care on Sunday while the South Burnett Regional Council does repair work at the intersection.

There will be lane and road closures in place and traffic diversions from about 6:00pm to 10:00pm (weather permitting).

The work is to resurface the road pavement following the laying of a water pipe.

“In order to provide a safe environment for workers and the public, Walter Road and Knight Street will require lane and road closures, including detours and traffic re-routing,” a Council spokesperson said.

“Refer to the attached traffic guidance diagrams (below).

“Appropriate traffic controls and directional signage will be in place during the works.

“Local access to properties within the work area will be permitted.

“Motorists and pedestrians are requested to travel with extreme care, to drive to the prevailing road conditions and to adhere to signage.

“No water supply interruptions are planned during these works.

“Council apologises for any inconvenience that this work may cause and thanks you in advance for your patience.”
