Four new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Queensland were announced on Sunday morning, taking the State’s active case tally to 28.

Three of the new cases are from the same household in Forest Lake and are connected with previous confirmed cases.

The fourth case is a male who lives in Collingwood Park.

Queensland Health says he was a close contact of a previous confirmed case.

Staines Memorial College in Redbank Plains has been closed for cleaning in relation to this fourth case.

The Fig Tree Pocket Early Childhood Centre and Preschool has also been closed for cleaning after confirmation a person with COVID-19 visited the centre on August 21.
