Almost $450,000 will pour into the local community from the latest round of Gambling Community Benefit Fund grants.
The grants were announced by Attorney-General Yvette D’Ath on Thursday,
More than 700 community groups across Queensland will benefit from the $14.9 million Gambling Community Benefit Fund (GCBF) Round 102.
In the South Burnett, recipients include the South Burnett Musical Comedy Society, which plans to build a new shed at the South Burnett Enterprise Centre in Kingaroy, and the Murgon Business & Development Association which will receive $27,000 to help cover the costs of its Easter Fair.
GCBF grants are worth between $500 and $35,000 and applications are open to not-for-profit organisations.
Over the past 25 years, GCBF has distributed more than $902 million to community groups in Queensland.
Applications for the next round will close on February 29.
