Bookings are now being taken for the 2019 Kingaroy Community Christmas Lunch.

The Salvation Army and various Kingaroy volunteers are working together again this year to host the special festive lunch for 120 local residents on Christmas Day.

Donations from service clubs and other sponsors allow the Community Lunch – which will feature all the traditional Christmas trimmings – to be offered for free.

However, donations are also accepted on the day.

To book a spot, phone South Burnett CTC on (07) 4162-9000.

Organisers stress that the doors to the venue, the South Burnett Care Centre (opposite SupaIGA), will not open before 11:30am so there’s no point in turning up earlier on the day.

The organising committee is looking for offers of sponsorship as well as volunteers who can be rostered to help out on the day.

This year’s event will honour the memory of Elvera and Eldred Lange, and Wayne Collier, who organised it in earlier years.

The lunch is also supported by South Burnett Online and the South Burnett Times.
