South Burnett Regional Council has two free events coming up soon for small business owners.

On Thursday evening (May 23), Council’s Economic Development department is holding the latest in its Business XL networking events.

Guest speakers will be Jane Gunn, from Pow Wow in Wondai; as well as speakers from Barambah Business Services, Bank of Queensland Wondai, Parkside and Torkit Business Solutions.

The event will be held from 5:30pm at the Wondai Diggers RSL Club.

The second workshop, presented by John Day and Peter Huskins from ShopAbility, will be held at the 1913 Council Chambers (behind the Kingaroy Visitor Information Centre) from 8:15am to 1:00pm on June 5.

This workshop aims to give small businesses the skills and confidence to compete more effectively in retail, food service and online channels.

The Market Diversification Workshop is being supported by the Federal Government’s Entrepreneurs Program.
