Applications close on Sunday (May 15) for Semester 2 scholarships to study at Queensland TAFE colleges.

South Burnett students have been encouraged to apply for one of the $5000 scholarships on offer.

The scholarship payments can be used to meet any cost associated with study including tuition, study materials and equipment, or to reduce the cost of living expenses.

Six scholarships are be available across Queensland for Certificate III through to Advanced Diploma level studies in specific industries including business services, electro-technology, automotive, engineering, hairdressing, health services, community services and hospitality.

TAFE Queensland CEO Jodi Schmidt said the scholarships were already helping more than 80 Queenslanders to pursue their career goals.
