The RSPCA’s Million Paws Walk in Kingaroy is just over a month away so it’s time to register for a morning of fun to help the local shelter.

The walk is RSPCA Queensland’s biggest fundraiser for the year and helps to provide care to the more than 45,000 animals that pass through through RSPCA shelters every year.

More than 16,000 dogs are surrendered, abandoned or seized by RSPCA Inspectors every year.

RSPCA spokesman Michael Beatty said the Kingaroy Million Paws Walk will begin at Memorial Park in Haly Street.

There will be a jumping castle, free vet checks, games and dog competitions.

The walk will start at 9:00am.

How to get involved:

1. Register online

2. Create an online fundraising page

3. Ask friends and family for sponsorship
