The 2014 Annual General Meeting of Southern Queensland Country Tourism was held in Toowoomba yesterday (November 6).
The AGM was followed by a Board meeting where the board members elected their executive for the following year.
The SQCT Board is made up of appointed Local Government representatives, elected Industry representatives and appointed Skills-Based representatives.
The South Burnett has two representatives on the Board.
Board members for 2014-15 are:
- Dr Jane Summers, skills-based – Chair
- Cr Geoff McDonald, Toowoomba Regional Council – Vice-Chair
- Cr Neil Meiklejohn, Southern Downs Regional Council – Secretary
- Cr Wayne Kratzmann, South Burnett Regional Council
- Cr Tony Brame, Western Downs Regional Council
- Cr Ree Price, Maranoa Regional Council representing Maranoa, Balonne, Goondiwindi councils
- Shannon Scott, industry, Taste South Burnett
- James Haig, industry, Dept National Parks, Recreation, Sports & Racing
- Trudy Grant, industry, Killarney View Van Park & Cabins
- Phil Gregory, industry, Brisbane West Wellcamp Airport
- Michael Hurn, skills-based
- Lisa Backhouse, skills-based
