Gympie detectives investigating an alleged burglary in Bells Bridge, east of Kilkivan, on August 2, have charged two people.

A 17-year-old Glenwood man will appear at Gympie Magistrates Court today charged with burglary, grievous bodily harm, assault occasioning bodily harm in company, wilful damage, car theft and arson.

He also faces unrelated charges of burglary, fail to stop a motor vehicle, unregistered vehicle and unlicensed driving.

A 16-year-old youth from Gympie will be dealt with under the provisions of the Youth Justice Act for the charges of burglary, grievous bodily harm, assault occasioning bodily harm in company, wilful damage, car theft, arson and possess a drug utensil.

Investigations are continuing.
