Kingaroy and Nurunderi TAFE students can now access a new student loan system, providing a “study now, pay later” arrangement.

“VET FEE-HELP” will see eligible Diploma and Advanced Diploma students given the option to have their course fees paid upfront by the Federal Government, and repaid by the student upon reaching an income threshold.

SQIT Certificate III in Information Technology graduate Josh Ostrofski said he was excited about VET FEE-HELP’s introduction as it meant he could continue to pursue his dream job – a career in systems administration.

“My teacher suggested VET FEE-HELP when I was weighing up the costs to enrol in my Diploma.

“Financially, this new loan system is a great help to me,” Mr Ostrofski said.

Kingaroy and Nurunderi TAFE courses that can be paid for using VET FEE-HELP vary from a Diploma of Hospitality and a Diploma of Nursing, to a Diploma of Remedial Massage, depending on campus location.
