The gutted home on the Tingoora Loop Road

A home and a detached shed on acreage near Tingoora were gutted by fire on Thursday evening.

An Emergency Services spokesman told southburnett.com.au that six fire crews attended the property, located on the Tingoora Loop Road, but both buildings suffered extensive damage.

A vehicle parked in the shed was also destroyed.

Investigators attended the scene later in the evening to determine a cause of the fires.

No further information is available at present.

UPDATED November 25: Sgt Gary Brown, from Wondai Police, said the fire began in the shed and spread to the nearby home.

No one was at home at the time the fire broke out.

A witness, who was passing by along the road, saw flames coming from the shed. She called 000 but could not get close to the building because of explosions coming from inside.

The fire spread across the lawn to the nearby home.

Sgt Brown said investigators could not determine what started the fire in the shed but there were no suspicious circumstances.
