Nine businesses have signed up so far to join the South Burnett’s latest “Good Food Choices Program” .
RHealth, in partnership with the South Burnett Regional Council, will be conducting the Good Food Choices program over the next 12 months, aiming the make the healthier choice easier for customers eating out in the South Burnett.
The program works with food businesses, such as cafés, takeaways, hotels and restaurants to accredit meals as Good Food Choices.
Good Food Choice dishes must provide at least one serve of vegetables, be low in fat and contain healthy fats, be low in added sugar and salt and be a good source of fibre.
When eating out in the South Burnett keep an eye out for the “apple man” logo next to Good Food Choice accredited dishes.

- Bunya Nut Café, Blackbutt
- Kingaroy RSL
- Taste South Burnett
- Aussie’s Pizza, Kingaroy
- Asian Gourmet, Kingaroy
- Captain’s Paddock, Kingaroy
- Kingaroy Seafood and Takeaway
