Member for Nanango Deb Frecklington is encouraging South Burnett residents to get behind the first ever “Queensland Small Business Week”.

The week will be held from Wednesday, July 24, to Wednesday, July 31.

“Queensland Small Business Week is an initiative of the State Government and is about highlighting the important and significant contributions our local small businesses make to our economy,” Mrs Frecklington said.

“The celebrations will take place Queensland wide, with webinars, live streamed small business discussions and small business breakfasts.

“All small businesses can become involved by visiting http://www.business.qld.gov.au/smallbusinessweek

“As part of Small Business Week, Buy Locally Saturday will feature as a signature event and is being held on July 27.

“This event is about the community getting behind our small businesses to help boost our local economy and embrace what makes the South Burnett unique.

“One of my main priorities as the Member for Nanango is to ensure I am always working to support our regional communities.

“That’s why I think Queensland Small Business Week and Buy Locally Saturday are a great opportunity to celebrate the importance of our local small businesses and the families who work so hard to ensure their ongoing success.”
