The Wide Bay Burnett is now officially “the perfect place at your perfect pace”.

The new regional brand and tagline was unveiled today at the Regional Queensland Lifestyle Expo held in Brisbane’s King George Square.

The Wide Bay Burnett Regional Organisation of Councils (WBBROC) developed the branding after extensive market research over the past year.

The last regional logo and tagline was “Country Coast”, which WBBROC launched in 2005 and used for three years.

WBBROC sponsored two pavilions at the Expo to encourage Brisbane visitors to make a tree change or sea change to the region, as well as encourage businesses to relocate or expand here.

WBBROC Chairman, Gympie Mayor Ron Dyne, said the reaction to the promotion had been good.

“So far this morning we’ve been very encouraged by the number of people visiting the Wide Bay Burnett booth and asking questions about the work and lifestyle opportunities the region has to offer,” he said.

Other mayors from across the region – including South Burnett Mayor Wayne Kratzmann – also visited the booth to take part in the official launch of the new regional brand.

WBBROC consists of the six councils in the Wide Bay-Burnett region: the South Burnett, Cherbourg, Gympie, North Burnett, Fraser Coast and Bundaberg councils.
