The Wondai Kindergarten has received the green light from the State Government to begin a $139,000 renovation to their building in Baynes Street.

Kindy committee president Jane Iszlaub said there was still some paperwork to be finalised but she expected most of the construction to be done during the June and July holidays.

Plans for the building have been drawn up. As well as a facelift and expansion of the building, there’ll also be a new shed constructed, a “sensory” garden with herbs and flowers for the children, a chook pen, and new fencing.

The building will have full disability access.

“The Wondai Kindy is having a marvellous year,” Jane told southburnett.com.au today.

“There are only two places left.

“The waiting list is open for Semester 2 this year and for 2014.”
