Stuart River Rural Brigade extinguishes the last of the flames

A firecrew from the Stuart River rural brigade were called to Zolner Road near Crawford on Saturday afternoon after a grass fire came close to a house.

The fire, adjacent to the Bunya Highway, was fully contained by 5:00pm with the brigade mopping up the edges.

No structures were damaged but about five acres of paddock was burned.
