Accommodation will be in short supply from Friday onwards when the overhaul of Unit 1 at the Tarong Power Station begins.

The overhaul will continue until November 30.

The power station’s periodic overhauls provide an average $1.5 million cash injection into the South Burnett’s economy each time they occur – especially in accommodation, food and related service industries.

A further four have been scheduled for 2013 in January, May, October and November.
