Police are appealing for public assistance in locating nine quarter horses stolen from a property near Mitchell.
The horses were last sighted about two weeks ago on the property about 12km west of Mitchell.
Extensive searches of the property have failed to locate the four geldings and five mares aged between 18 months and seven years old.
The horses are described as one Buckskin mare, three Bay mares (one has a distinctive buckskin splash down her left shoulder), one Chestnut mare (18-months-old), three Chestnut geldings (two 18-months-old, the third is a thoroughbred cross and has a brand TLC on his left shoulder), and one Liver Chestnut gelding.
UPDATE August 1:
The Roma Stock Squad has thanked the public following the return of nine horses which were stolen from a property near Mitchell. It is believed the horses were returned to their paddock sometime overnight. The matter remains under investigation.
