Member for Wide Bay Warren Truss is inviting voters to have their say in the 2012 Community Survey which will be delivered to all households in his electorate from the end of this month.

“Wide Bay’s Community Survey 2012 invites people to identify and highlight the things that matter most to them on a range of local, state and national issues,” Mr Truss said.

The questions will canvass opinions on a wide range of subjects including health, transport, the economy, taxation, education, population, foreign ownership, law and order, resources and energy, the environment, and social and civic issues.

The survey forms should be returned in the reply-paid envelope supplied by May 31.

“The results of the survey will be made publicly available and published on my website,” Mr Truss said.

UPDATE June 4: The deadline to return the Wide Bay Community Survey 2012 has been extended two weeks.

“(It) was distributed to households in Wide Bay in the first week of May and almost 5000 completed responses have already been received,” Mr Truss said.

If you missed receiving your copy of the survey, or have misplaced it, you can request one by telephoning 1300-301-968.

The survey should be returned by folding and sealing so the “Reply Paid” details are on the front. It must be posted by June 18.
