Cr Heath Sander and his partner Rowena Wessling have had their contracts to manage the tourist parks at Bjelke-Petersen and Boondooma dams renewed.
A Council spokesperson said an independent third party oversaw the selection process to remove it out of the hands of the South Burnett Regional Council, and the appointment was made on merit.
The couple has been managing the Bjelke-Petersen Dam recreation area, formerly known as Yallakool, since 2020.
They took over management of the Lake Boondooma Caravan and Recreation Park in 2021.
Council is responsible for the management and operation of the two recreation areas.
Cr Sander, who is also president of Murgon Business and Development Association, made the announcement at Thursday night’s MBDA meeting in Murgon.
