A multicultural celebration in Kingaroy is one of more than 70 community events to have received support under Round 2 of the State Government’s “Celebrating Multicultural Queensland” grants program.
South Burnett Regional Council has received $5000 for the event which will be held on September 5 in the Kingaroy Town Hall Forecourt.
Applications are now open for an Art Competition which will be run in conjunction with the day.
“These grants help communities in every corner of Queensland deliver local festivals and events that bring people together, celebrate cultural heritage while bringing people together with shared values and shared understanding,” Minister Fiona Simpson said.
“The Celebrating Multicultural Queensland programs helps to break down barriers and deliver more opportunities across our State.”
Applications for Round 1 in 2027 close on July 12 this year.
