APN News & Media, publishers of the South Burnett Times newspaper, has announced the resignation of Mr Gavin O’Reilly as Chairman and Director.
The son of Irish media magnate Tony O’Reilly, Gavin joined the APN Board in 2004.
Today’s announcement followed news yesterday that Mr O’Reilly had also resigned as Chief Executive of Independent News & Media, the international media group which also has interests in Ireland, Northern Ireland and South Africa.
UPDATE 6:00pm: APN News & Media Deputy Chairman Ted Harris will act as Chairman while the group begins the search for an independent chairman.
