South Burnett Community Christmas Lunch - Kingaroy
- The Salvation Army and several other community groups and volunteers will be hosting the annual South Burnett Community Christmas Lunch at the Senior Citizens Centre in Avoca Street, Kingaroy from 11:30am this morning (lunch will be served at around 12:00 noon). The lunch is open to anyone - young or old - including single parents and those who'd just appreciate some company today, and has steadily grown to become a South Burnett Christmas Day tradition. Christmas Lunch at Dimities - Wondai
- Dimities Cottage at 49 Haly Street, Wondai will be serving up their traditional BYO Christmas Smorgasbord Lunch from 12:00 noon onwards today. This is always a terrific all-you-can-eat feed - even Santa puts in an appearance to briefly chow down! - and it routinely draws up to 100 people. Christmas Dinner With South Burnett Peace Of Mind
- South Burnett Peace Of Mind will be holding a free Christmas Dinner at the Lutheran Church Hall in Youngman Street, Kingaroy from 3:30pm onwards this afternoon, when activities will kick off with an afternoon of bingo, trivia games, board games, raffles, tea and coffee and soft drinks before dinner is served around 6:00pm. South Burnett Peace Of Mind assists people suffering from mental illnessses and everyone is welcome - and anyone who'd like to volunteer to assist would also be very welcome too.
Christmas Lunch At The Wondai
- The Wondai Hotel and Cellar in Haly Street, Wondai will be offering a buffet Christmas Day Lunch featuring traditional Christmas roasts, fresh seafoods and desserts from 12:00 noon to around 2:00pm today. Alcoholics Anonymous - Kingaroy
- Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other to help solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for A.A. membership. A.A. isn't allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organization or institution.
