Kumbia Christmas Carnival
Kumbia's 15th Annual Christmas Carnival will be held in and around Kumbia Hall on the Bunya Highway from 5:00pm until late this evening. Features of this year's event will include the town's traditional Festival of Christmas Trees (the theme this ydear is "All That Glitters") and the hall itself will be decorated as part of the Kumbia Christmas Lights Competition. There'll also be face-painting; games and rides for children including a merry-go-round, jumping castle and other fun stalls; live musical entertainment; and the drawing of a raffle for a Giant Christmas Hamper (valued at over $250!) as well as lots of quick ham and chook raffles during the evening. A BBQ will also be operating and special Santa burgers, Santa's Helper Burgers and Santa's Little Helper burgers will be available at very reasonable prices. Santa himself will be paying a visit to give away sample bags to children up to Year 7 at around 7:00pm. There'll also be lots of market stalls and beautiful Christmas displays right around the town too. Christmas With Friends - Nanango
Nanango's annual "Christmas With Friends" free community lunch will be held at the Nanango Cultural Centree in George Street, Nanango from 11:00am this morning through until mid-afternoon. This is a fun Boots'n Bulldust event for the whole community sponsored by local businesses and charities, and is open to everyone who would like to come together in the spirit of Christmas to share a lovely meal and good company. Santa will visit with gifts for the children and there'll be live entertainment and Christmas Carols too - but bookings are essential for catering (and also so that Santa knows how many gifts to bring). Nanango Community Christmas Carols
- Nanango's popular annual Community Christmas Carols will be held at the Nanango Showgrounds in Cairns Street from 6:30pm to around 7:45pm this evening. The community carol singing will be led by a band with various performing artists including James Webb, and there'll be candlelight and traditional carols as well as some fun Australian carols too. Food will be available for purchase as well if you get peckish. Nanango's Community Carols are always a really great night out for the whole family to celebrate Christmas, and it's completely free. Kilkivan Sunday Markets
- The weekly Kilkivan Markets will be held in Lester Millar Park in Kilkivan from 7:00am until around 12:00 noon this morning.
