Community Health Nurse Kathy Crane has teamed up with Proston Library and the local ambulance service to help improve the health and well-being of some of the Proston’s smallest residents.

Kathy joined Librarian Julie Manning and QAS officer Nolan “Jonesy’” Jones recently to present a “Rhyme Time” session that included extra information about CPR awareness and infant first aid.

“The regular Rhyme Time sessions are focused on making talking, reading and singing with your child a part of your daily routine,” Kathy said.

“The special session was organised to include additional health information.”

A group of 13 parents and their babies gathered for the discussion and demonstrations.

“It was a great opportunity to partner with other people in the community to ensure local babies have the best start to life,” she said.

Rhyme Time is held at the Proston Library on the first and third Tuesday of every month from 9:00am.
