A young woman who suffered chest pains while on a trail walk at the Bunya Mountains was flown to Toowoomba on Tuesday evening for treatment.

Ambulance paramedics were requested to attend at 4:39pm.

A LifeFlight helicopter was also despatched which landed at Dandabah, and a QFES crew from Kingaroy also attended.

A QAS spokesman said the woman was airlifted to the LifeFlight base at Toowoomba in a stable condition and then transported by road ambulance to Toowoomba Hospital.
