A man aged in his 50s suffered suspected spinal injuries when he fell about three metres off a roof on Monday afternoon.

Ambulance paramedics were the first at the property, in the Gympie region, and initially assessed the patient.

An RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter was then despatched about 3:30pm.

The man was treated on the ground and then transported in a stable condition to Nambour Hospital.
