A man could forfeit his car after he allegedly side-swiped a parked vehicle in the Glendon Street car park in Kingaroy on Friday morning and drove off without stopping.
A number of witnesses contacted police who then tracked down the driver at Ellesmere.
A 42-year-old Ellesmere man has been charged with unlicensed driving, failing to stop after an accident and failing to adhere to a production notice.
Police will allege the man attempted to hide the vehicle.
Officer-on-charge of Kingaroy police, Senior Sergeant Duane Frank, said the man’s Holden Commodore could also be subject to total forfeiture.

A 20-year-old man was taken by ambulance to Kingaroy Hospital for assessment after a single-vehicle crash on Sunday evening.
Police and emergency services were called to the incident about 7:30pm.
The man’s Subaru rolled on the corner of Shellbacks and Curtis roads, Kingaroy.
Police investigations are continuing.

A 29-year-old Brisbane man pulled over by police on the D’Aguilar Highway for allegedly speeding will also face a drink-driving charge.
Snr Sgt Frank said the man was originally stopped because police clocked him doing 118km/h in a 100km/h zone.
However, he then allegedly failed a breath test, blowing .058 BAC.

Two people will face charges after they allegedly attempted to tow an unregistered vehicle by rope in Rae Street, Kingaroy, on Friday morning.
A 24-year-old Kingaroy man has been issued with a notice to appear in court charged with permitting the use of an unregistered motor vehicle.
A 16-year-old youth, who was behind the wheel of the vehicle being towed, was charged with unlicensed driving, and driving an unregistered and uninsured motor vehicle.

Police arrested a man at a residence in Belle Street, Kingaroy, at 6:00am on Friday wanted for breaching his bail conditions.
The man was also charged with stealing after he allegedly took a family size chocolate bar and hid it in his shorts at SupaIGA.

Police and ambulance attended a minor collision in Markwell Street, Kingaroy, on Thursday morning.
Snr Sgt Frank said one vehicle crossed Youngman Street, then indicated to turn right into a centre parking spot.
A vehicle travelling behind attempted to overtake, and the two vehicles collided.
Neither the 25-year-old woman in the first vehicle, or the 81-year-old woman in the second, were injured.

Kingaroy police placed a speed camera in Moore Street after complaints from local residents about vehicles speeding in the 50km/h area.
Police issued several infringement notices, including vehicles travelling at more than 70km/h.

A 28-year-old Kingaroy woman has been issued with a notice to appear in court to face a charge of unlicensed driving after she was stopped by police in Doonkuna Street on Friday at 7:00am.
The women’s licence had been suspended in April through loss of points.
