A teenage driver has been taken to hospital suffering from shock, cuts and abrasions after her car rolled near Crawford on Sunday.

Senior Sergeant Duane Frank, from Kingaroy Police, said the 17-year-old woman was heading north on the Bunya Highway when the incident occurred about 11:00am.

The woman apparently lost control of her vehicle as she was travelling around the sweeping bend near the Crawford Road turn-off.

The vehicle spun, hit an embankment rear-end first and then flipped onto its roof.

She suffered cuts to her legs and hands and was taken to Kingaroy Hospital for assessment.

Police investigations are continuing.
