Toowoomba Regional Council will receive $1 million, South Burnett Regional Council $725,000 and Gympie Regional Council $225,896 under the latest round of the Federal Government’s Roads To Recovery program.

Deputy Prime Minister and Member for Wide Bay Warren Truss said the program provided quarterly payments to councils across Australia.

“Councils can direct this funding towards their priority projects, improving the safety and efficiency of their local road network,” Mr Truss said.

For the period 2014-19, locals councils have been allocated a total of:

  • Cherbourg – $166,530
  • Gympie – $5,642,884
  • South Burnett – $6,855,970
  • Toowoomba – $19,546,464
