Rain has been a bit of nuisance in some areas but hasn’t really disrupted much play.

Kingaroy managed to get through their program for the week, Nanango entertained Burgowan last Saturday and Yarraman was able to finish their Pub Day on Thursday.

Kingaroy News

The ever-popular Jackpot Pairs was played last Sunday January and 14 teams participated.

The competition was two games of 18 ends with each player using only two bowls. The winners were decided by the number of games won and the overall margin of the two games.

At the end of play, four teams had two wins.  Two teams had the same overall of 22. A countback on the number of ends won was used to determine the overall winners.

  • Winners: Rhonda Costello, Glen Turner 2 wins, margin 22 plus 23 ends.
  • Runners-up: Peter Neilsen, Alan Rogerson, 2 wins, margin 22 plus 21 ends.

The jackpot was not won.
