A 21-year-old Brisbane man has been flown to hospital with multiple injuries after his 4WD hit a tree this afternoon.

The crash occurred on the Murgon-Kilcoy Road, north of Kilcoy.

He was the sole occupant of the vehicle.

The Sunshine Coast-based RACQ CareFlight Rescue helicopter met the ambulance at the Kilcoy Showgrounds about 2:30pm and immediately flew the injured man to the Royal Brisbane Hospital.
