The huge Geiger Family Fun Charity Sports Day, organised by the Kingaroy Services Cricket Club and the Kingaroy Red Ants, will be held all-day Saturday at T.J. O’Neill Oval in Kingaroy.

The sports day, which will run from 9:00am to 5:00pm, is to raise funds to support the Geiger family and everyone is welcome to join in the fun.

Entry is by a gold coin donation.

Lynda Geiger, wife of local cricketer and A Grade rugby league coach Darren, was recently diagnosed with cancer and all profits raised on the day will go towards helping the family.

There will be touch footy with mixed six-a-side teams, a jumping castle for the kids and a licensed bar and barbecue.

Raffles will be held throughout the afternoon with some great prizes to be won.

Organisers are also looking for volunteers to help behind the scenes on the day.
