Kingaroy Accounting & Tax Redbacks proved too good for the Auswide Silage Bears

The 2012 McDonald’s Junior Soccer competition wound-up on Saturday with a series of exciting games played at the junior and senior soccer fields in Kingaroy.

U6s to U11s enjoyed their last round of games, while Grand Finals were played in the U12/13s and Cadets competitions.

In the Cadets Grand Final, Kingaroy NewsXpress Redbacks defeated McKie Mining Redbacks 3-1 at Tom Alford Oval.

Player of the Cadets grand final (as voted by the officiating referees) was Ryan Zeller of Kingaroy NewsXpress Redbacks.

In the U12/13s Grand Final, Kingaroy Accounting & Tax Redbacks defeated Auswide Silage Bears 3-0.

Player of the grand final was Shannon Jeffrey of Kingaroy Accounting & Tax Redbacks.

In the Consolation Final,  Hair Elegance Redbacks defeated KingAir Redbacks in a penalty shootout.  (Last week, Hair Elegance Redbacks were also involved in a penalty shootout in their decider against Auswide Silage Bears).

Player of the consolation final was Joseph Roth of KingAir Redbacks.

Winner of the 12/13 Cup (for teams not involved in the Grand Final or Consolation Final) was Sellwood Construction Bears.

Following the presentation of medallions and ribbons by Andrea Steele, from sponsor McDonald’s, players from Kingaroy junior teams took part in a fun day break-up at the junior soccer fields.
