South Burnett CTC - Working For Our Community
Mayor's Community Christmas Lunch - Kingaroy
The annual Mayor's Community Christmas Lunch will be held at Kingaroy Town Hall in Glendon Street, Kingaroy from noon today (doors open at 11:30am) to around 2:00pm this afternoon. The lunch is a fundraiser for the region's disadvantaged families, providing them with food vouchers at Christmas. Guest speaker today will be Sonia McMahon and some of the crew from Rockin Our Abilities. In addition to a great lunch prepared by the QCWA there'll also be live entertainment plus raffles. Tickets are just $30 per head and they can be booked online or obtained from any of the South Burnett Regional Council's Customer Service Centres.
Blackbutt Christmas Festival
There'll be food, fun and festive cheer from 5:00pm tonight at the Blackbutt Memorial Hall in Bowman Road. There'll be games and activities for the kids, a jumping castle, ham wheel, licensed bar and raffles and the South Burnett Performing Arts Academy will present a free musical spectacular from 6:30pm with Julee-anne Bell, the Blackbutt Singers, Warren Gould and Stephanie Wimpenny.  Plus, we believe Santa will be making time in his busy schedule to drop in! The bar will be open and there'll also be raffles. And the best thing ... it's FREE!
Art Exhibition Opening - Wondai
The Wondai Regional Art Gallery on the roundabout at Wondai will be opening their last exhibition for 2025 with a wine and cheese tasting at 6:00pm tonight. This month the gallery will be hosting its popular Under The Bed Sale where artists offer their unsold works at heavily discounted prices. There will be hundreds of framed and unframed works and lots of bargain buys. As usual, tonight's opening will also feature great hot and cold finger foods and punch, along with wine tastings, live entertainment and lots of fun socialising. Wambo Wind Farm Meeting - Jandowae
A coffee and chat meeting to discuss progress on the Wambo Wind Farm will be held at Wombat's Cafe & Grill at 48 High Street, Jandowae, from 8:00am to 11:00am this morning. All interested people are welcome to attend.
Fitness & Friends - Murgon

Kingaroy RSL Bingo

Barefoot Bowls - Yarraman
Yarraman Bowls Club, on the New England Highway, is hosting a family-friendly barefoot bowls afternoon from 4:00pm this afternoon. No equipment is needed (just wear flat-sole shoes). Members will be on hand to share tips and tricks. The bar will be open. $15 green fee includes a hamburger or $5 per person for bowls only. The Proston Golf Club, on Brigooda Road, Proston, will be holding a Friday afternoon social golf game today. Names need to be in by 2:00pm for a 2:30pm tee-off, and everyone is welcome. South Burnett Pantry - Kingaroy
The South Burnett Pantry will be open from 8:30am to 12:00 noon today at 1A (Lot 3) Railway Terrace in Kingaroy. The Pantry is a not-for-profit registered charity run by a Board of Management and staffed by volunteers, and it helps low income families, couples and singles stretch their shopping dollar further. The Pantry offers $40 pantry hampers that contain most of the food and personal cleaning items that most people need to get through part of the week (though you'll need to shop elsewhere for extras or special items). Alcoholics Anonymous - Murgon
Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of people who share their experience, strength and hope with each other to solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for membership. AA is not allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organisation or institution.
