South Burnett CTC - Working For Our Community
DFV Awareness Walk - Wondai
South Burnett CTC is holding a 3km Walk For Domestic & Family Violence Awareness from 7:00am to 9:00am this morning along the South Burnett Rail Trail from Wondai. The walk will start from near the Wondai Visitor Information Centre and participants have been urged to wear purple. There will be prizes for the best dressed adult, child, team and pet. The morning will include a free breakfast and guest speakers as well as interactive displays and giveaways. More information? Phone (07) 4162-9000.
Bushfire Preparedness Drop-In - Yarraman
Rural Fire Service Queensland volunteers will be at the Yarraman Library from 2:00pm to 4:00pm this afternoon to help local residents prepare for the upcoming bushfire season. Drop in at any time to ask questions about bushfire risks, learn practical tips on how to prepare your home, learn how to create a bushfire survival plan and how to apply for a permit to burn.
RU OK March - Cherbourg
The Cherbourg Suicide Prevention Action Network (SPAN) group will be holding an RU OK March and Memorial Service this morning in Cherbourg. The march will begin at 10:00am in Anzac Memorial Park and will proceed along Barambah Avenue to Wakka Wakka Park where a memorial service and tree-planting will be held. A free barbecue lunch will be available.
