Blackbutt Christmas Festival Over 60s Free Xmas Lunch
The fifth day of the 14th annual Blackbutt-Benarkin Lions Club Christmas Festival will kick into gear art 11:30am this morning at the Blackbutt Memorial Hall in Coulson Street, Blackbutt when the hall's doors open for the annual Free Over 60s Christmas Lunch for Blackbutt and Benarkin residents. This Blackbutt Christmas Festival tradition provides a completely free Christmas lunch for Blackbutt's senior citizens, along with multi-draw raffles and live entertainment by John Harvey, but to get a seat you'll have needed to book a seat by November 23rd (no tickets will be available at the door today). Nanango Community Auxiliary Meeting
The Nanango Community Auxiliary will be holding its regular first Thursday of the month meeting at the QCWA Rooms in Fitzroy Street, Nanango (just opposite Foodworks) from 9:30am this morning. The Auxiliary is open to both men and women and members enjoy a cuppa and snacks, play Hoy and other games, or simply sit and chat. Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other to help solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for A.A. membership. A.A. isn't allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organization or institution.
